How to print tracing worksheets at the right size
Printer settings
- The free worksheets are U.S. Letter (8.5" × 11"). The book maker can also make A4 pages; choose the paper size before you download.
- Set the scale to 100% or Actual size. "Fit to page" makes the lines smaller.
- Black and white is fine. The green and red marks print as gray.
Paper and pencils
- Regular copy paper works. Thicker paper is better for crayons.
- Use a pencil or crayon. Markers can soak through to the next page.
- Slide a page into a clear sheet protector and use a dry-erase marker to practice again and again.
Check the size
On a printed Letter page, the space from the top line to the bottom solid line of a writing row should measure about 3/4 inch. A4 books from the book maker are scaled to fit A4, so the rows are slightly smaller (about 0.72 inch).
